Memorable Manitobans: Charles Ormand Hyndman (1876-1960)Municipal official. Born at Hallville, Ontario in 1876, he came to Manitoba in 1899. He and wife Mary Elizabeth Kerr (1877-1955) had six children: Mary Elizabeth Hyndman (1903-?), Rose Alexandra Hyndman (1905-1969), Beatrice Roberta Hyndman (1907-1974, wife of William Lyle Dyker), Freda Eleanor Hyndman (1909-?, wife of John Jamieson Leishman), Charles Frederick Hyndman (1909-1992), and Ormand Kenneth Hyndman (1915-1993). He served on the Cardale School Board, Mariano Church board, and was Reeve for the Rural Municipality of Blanshard (1931-1943). He died at Hamiota on 8 December 1960 and was buried in the Oak River Cemetery.
