Memorable Manitobans: Charles Etienne Huot (1908-1985)Businessman. Born at St. Boniface on 25 November 1908, son of Marie Louise Boily, he was the first child to be christened in the St. Boniface Cathedral. He graduated from a commercial course at the St. Boniface College then joined the A. Huot Company clothing store that he operated with his brother Adolphe until retirement in 1978. He was a Commissioner of the Manitoba Power Commission (1959-1961). He died at Winnipeg on 27 February 1985 and was buried in the St. Boniface Cemetery.
