Memorable Manitobans: Jack Douglas Houston (1936-2020)
Pharmacist, municipal official.
Born at Bowsman in 1936, son of James Douglas Houston and Ethel May Mullin (1906-2008), at the age of nine he moved with his family to Boissevain, where in 1958 he joined his father in the operation of a drug store. He served as Mayor of Boissevain (1981-1989). He died at Kelowna, British Columbia on 13 October 2020.
