Memorable Manitobans: Helen Hendry (1850-?)Administrator. Born in England on 18 March 1850, of Scottish heritage, she immigrated to Canada in 1867 and resided at Hamilton, Ontario around 1891. She moved West and settled at Winnipeg where she was the Superintendent of the Children’s Home of Winnipeg (1899-1906), for six and a half years resigning in March 1906. Her whereabouts after this are unknown.
