Engineer.
Born at Lac du Bonnet on 29 January 1916, son of ? Hawkes and Elizabeth Hawerski, he began working for Winnipeg Hydro in 1940 as an apprentic labourer and rose through the ranks to served as Superintendent of the Pointe du Bois Generating Station (1973-1979). He retired in the latter year. He and wife Eileen (?-1997) had two sons and a daughter. He died at Beausejour on 27 June 1998.
