Memorable Manitobans: Victor J. Hagen (1918-2001)
Physician, community activist.
Born at Winnipeg on 10 November 1918, he graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Manitoba and practiced medicine in Winnipeg for 40 years. His passion was playing soccer and working for the Manitoba Soccer Association where he served as President from 1950 to 1953. He was also a President and life member of the Canadian Soccer Association. He died at Vancouver, British Columbia on 21 September 2001.
