Memorable Manitobans: James Foster (1868-?)Farmer. Born at Gorrie, Ontario in December 1868, he came to Manitoba in March 1897. He worked for a time as a stone mason then purchased land in the Manitou district. In November 1906, he married Cecilia Maud Galbraith. They had three sons and two daughters. He was a Methodist.
