Memorable Manitobans: Charlie Au Foo (1894-1980)
Born in China, he came to Winnipeg in 1918 where he was employed with Western Packers until 1944 when he became a partner in Chan’s Restaurant. He was active in numerous charities and benevolent associations. He was Honourary President of the Manitoba Chinese Benevolent Association.
