Memorable Manitobans: Norman Oliver Finnigan (1908-1988)

Educator.

Born at Ste. Anne on 21 February 1908, son of John W. Finnigan and Francesca Pelland, he was the Principal of St. Claude School (1928-1929), Swan Lake School (1938-1941), Baldur School (1941-1946), and Grandin School (1946-1948). He moved to British Columbia where he continued teaching for a time. He died at New Westminster, British Columbia on 15 April 1988 and was buried in the Coquitlam Cemetery.
