Memorable Manitobans: Dale Esopenko (?-2009)

Golf pro.

Raised at Yorkton, Saskatchewan where at a very early age he developed a life-long love for golf. After a period in San Diego, California, he came to Manitoba where he was the youngest man to be named President of the Manitoba Golf Association, and youngest head pro at the Assiniboine Golf Course where he remained for over thirty years. He died suddenly on 9 January 2009.
