Memorable Manitobans: Paulette Lynne-Marie Duguay (1955-2025)

Community activist.

Born at St. Boniface on 9 February 1955, daughter of France Vermette and Pierre Lemay, on 23 June 1973 she married Denis Duguay at St. Boniface and they had five children. She served as President of the Union nationale métisse Saint-Joseph du Manitoba (2014-2024) where she was a staunch advocate for the preservation of Francophone rights. She died at her home on 17 August 2025.
