Memorable Manitobans: Thomas N. Douglas (1860-?)Farmer. Born in Dumfrieshire, Scotland, 22 September 1860. Son of Robert and Jean Douglas. Came to Manitoba in 1881. Homesteaded North-west Quarter 32-3-9. One of the large farmers of the South, 1120 acres. Married Mary Ann Leitch (deceased); secondly, Mary E. McKinnon. Has four sons and seven daughters. School Trustee for over twenty years. Member IOOF. Takes a public interest in all community affairs. Presbyterian. Address, La Riviere, Manitoba.
