Memorable Manitobans: John Frank Crosby (1871-?)General merchant. Born at Point Fortune, Quebec on 27 May 1871, he came to Manitoba in 1905 and settled in the Darlingford district where he worked as a general merchant. Married Alice M. Collins of Manotick, Ontario. He was a member of the Forrester Lodge and Presbyterian (Union) church. His recreations included curling and tennis.
