Memorable Manitobans: Charles Edward Connolly

Military officer.

Born at Enniskillen, County Fermanagh, Ireland. Son of Mr. and Mrs William Connolly. Was educated in Dublin, Ireland. Served in the Imperial Army 14 years. Thirteen years in Canadian Militia. Saw much service in South Africa. Proceeded overseas with First Canadian Contingent; Brigade Major, Canadian Cavalry Brigade. Awarded Distinguished Service Order. Roman Catholic. Address, M.D. No. 13, Calgary, Alberta.
