Memorable Manitobans: Edwin Abram Coleman (1878-?)Merchant. Born at Bowmanville, Ontario on 22 December 1878, he was educated at Bowmanville High School. He came to Manitoba in 1895 and settled at Manitou where he worked at tinsmithing. In 1907, he opened a hardware business at Darlingford, with heating and plumbing a specialty. On 18 July 1900, he married Frances Ethel Magee (?-?) and they had a son and a daughter. He served as a school trustee, was an ardent curler, and managed the local baseball team for many years.
