Memorable Manitobans: Thomas Cassin (1847-1927)
Farmer.
Born at Valcartier, Quebec, 8 November 1847. Married Ellen McDermott, 1882. Has three sons and three daughters. Came to Manitoba, 4 July 1873. Worked on Canadian Pacific Railway construction for fifteen years. Came to Manitou, 1890. Engaged in the hotel business (Cassin House). Farms over 480 acres. Roman Catholic. Address, Kaleida, Manitoba.
