Memorable Manitobans: Walter Morris Bohonos (1930-2017)
Educator.
Born at Ethelbert on 10 December 1930, son of Peter Bohonos and Annie Petura, brother of Morris Bohonos, he began teaching in a rural school at the age of 16 years. He was the Principal of Mossey River School (1956-1957), a teacher at Princess Elizabeth School (1961-1969), and Principal of Arthur Meighen School (1974-1986). He married fellow teacher Sylvia Rehaluk. He died on 15 August 2017 and was buried in the Queen of Heaven Mausoleum.
