Memorable Manitobans: Thomson Beattie (1875-1912)

Land manager.

Born in Fergus, Ontario, Beattie apprenticed as a banker but came to Winnipeg in 1897 to become a partner in the Haslam Land Company.

He died in the sinking of the RMS Titanic.
