Pioneer.
Born in the Orkneys in 1870, he came to Manitoba in 1890. On 31 July 1895, he married Isabella Maude Foley in the RM of Pembina and they had five daughters. The family farmed 960 acres of land near Manitou. He died at home on 7 May 1922 and was buried in the Manitou Cemetery.
