Memorable Manitobans: Thomas Roy Bailey (1915-2011)

Farmer.

Born on the familiy farmer in the Prosser district on 5 September 1915, son of Tom Bailey and Ida Florence Knowles, he farmed and was active in the community, on the North Cypress municipal council, Carberry Development Corporation, Vegetable Growers Association, Carberry Hospital Board, and Carberry United Church Board of Stewards. In recognition of his service, he was inducted into the Manitoba Agricultural Hall of Fame (2007). He died on 30 January 2011 and was buried in the Carberry Plains Cemetery.
