Educator.
Born at Novosuilki, Ukraine in 1936, daughter of Antonia Davidchuk and Matthew Davidchuk, she came to Canada in 1938, attended Manitoba Teachers College, began teaching at the age of 17, and graduated from the University of Manitoba with BA (1969), BEd (1970), and MA (1974) degrees. She taught at Loudoun School (1957-1960; Principal 1959-1960) and Royal School (1963), worked as a Resource Teacher in several school divisions, taught for post-secondary institutions and government agencies, and retired as a reading clinician.
She served as President (1996-1997) of the Reading Council of Greater Winnipeg, was active member of the Manitoba Council of Reading Clinicians and the Manitoba Reading Association, and received the International Literary Association Maryann Manning [Outstanding Volunteer / Special Service] Award (2014). She was a member of the Charleswood Temple and Calvary Temple where she also teaching Sunday School.
She lived at Swan River and there met Stephen Waschuk (?-2019), whom she married around 1958. They had four children and moved to Winnipeg.
She died in Winnipeg on 19 August 1921.
