Community activist.
Born at Lindsay, Ontario on 26 October 1895, daughter of Mary Louise Parkin and Joseph B. Parkin, she received a BA degree from Wesley College (1915) and an MA degree from the University of Manitoba (1916).
On 24 June 1922, she married Francis Gordon “Frank” Ritchie at Winnipeg and they had two children: Jo-Louise Ritchie (wife of James J. Kelly) and Frank S. Ritchie. She was President of the University Women's Club of Winnipeg (1936-1938), President of the Women's Conservative Association of South Winnipeg (two years), and founding President of the Provincial Council of Women of Manitoba (1949). She received life memberships in the Local Council of Winnipeg, Provincial Council of Women, and National Council of Women.
She died at the Misericordia Hospital on 3 February 1979 and was buried in the Elmwood Cemetery.
