Historic Sites of Manitoba: Walker House (29 Cornish Avenue, Winnipeg)

This two-storey wood frame residence on Cornish Avenue in Winnipeg was built in 1907 by the construction firm of Germain and Son, along with the house next door. Among its early occupants were CPR freight agent William C. Bowles (1909), buyer William R. Peacock (1911), contractor and builder John Edward Wilson (1915), and clerk Robert G. Walker (1916 to 1930s). The building was turned into a duplex in the early 1940s.
