Historic Sites of Manitoba: Virden Agricultural Society Display Building (Fifth Avenue South, Virden)

This octagonal wooden structure on Fifth Avenue South in Virden was built in the early 20th century to provide space to display baking, crafts, and agricultural goods and products by the Virden Agricultural Society. It is one of the few remaining examples of Manitoba buildings erected on an octagonal plan that was popular between 1880 and 1910.

The building is being restored for use as an oil museum.
