Historic Sites of Manitoba: Ten Commandments Monument (Assiniboine Park, Winnipeg)

Formerly located in Assiniboine Park in Winnipeg, a large stone monument stood at the north end of the Formal Gardens. It was installed here by the Winnipeg Aerie #23 of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and its Ladies Auxiliary. A sod-turning ceremony on 15 December 1964 was attended by Eagles President Jack Rhoades and Auxiliary President Alma Blackwell. The monument was unveiled on 8 May 1965 in memory of deceased members of the organization.

Removed in 2017 during construction of The Leaf, the monument was returned to a nearby site in the park in July 2025.
