Historic Sites of Manitoba: St. Laurent School No. 1416 (St. Laurent, RM of St. Laurent)

The St. Laurent School District was established in March 1895 and a one-room schoolhouse operated on Lot 19 in St. Laurent in the Rural Municipality of St. Laurent. In 1936, it became St. Laurent Municipal School District No. 1416, combining with Laronde School District No. 1688.

Among the teachers of St. Laurent School was Alfred “Fred” Fortier.
