Historic Sites of Manitoba: Pryzner Conservation Monument (RM of Yellowhead)

This monument at 13-17-23W in the Rural Municipality of Yellowhead was unveiled in September 1991 by Minister of Natural Resources Harry John Enns to commemorate the purchase of property here, in 1989, from Jack and Gladys Pryzner. Funds for the purchase were provided by the Canadian Wildlife Service under the Habitat Enhancement Land Use Program (HELP) to conserve habitat for waterfowl and other wildlife. A pilot project of the North American Waterfowl Management Plan, sponsors included Wildlife Habitat Canada, Ducks Unlimited Canada, and Manitoba Natural Resources.
