Historic Sites of Manitoba: Provisor Block / Matlock Court (310 Redwood Avenue, Winnipeg)

This two-storey brick block on Redwood Avenue in Winnipeg, measuring 28 feet by 60 feet, was designed by civil engineer Herman Saltzman and built in 1914 by owner Joseph Provisor at a cost of about $15,000. The building contained five apartments in its original configuration. Known originally as the Provisor Block, it was renamed the Matlock Court by the mid-1920s.
