Historic Sites of Manitoba: Lettonia Cemetery (Wendigo, RM of Lac du Bonnet)

This cemetery near the community of Wendigo in the Rural Municipality of Lac du Bonnet was established in 1918 on land donated by local postmaster John Alksne (1883-1956). The name Lettonia was conferred by Latvian settlers who arrived in this area in the 1900s. A commemorative plaque at the cemetery was erected by the Lac du Bonnet Municipal Heritage Advisory Committee.
