A wooden grain elevator at Kane, on the CNR Miami Subdivision in the Rural Municipality of Morris, was built by the Paterson Grain Company in late 1947, replacing an older elevator destroyed by fire in August 1947. Two annexes built in the 1950s were replaced in 1982 by a new elevator and annex, immediately beside the older elevator. The adjacent railway line was removed in 2007 but the elevator is still owned by the company and leased to local farmers for private grain storage.
