Historic Sites of Manitoba: Gannon House (248 Scotia Street, Winnipeg)

This 2½-storey wood frame, stucco, and wood plank siding house on Scotia Street in West Kildonan (now part of Winnipeg), measuring 20 feet by 36 feet, was built in 1914 for lawyer John Edmund Sydney "Jack" Gannon. He died in the house on 3 January 1919 during the Spanish flu pandemic.

At the time of a 2025 site visit, the house was slightly modified from its original appearance.
