Historic Sites of Manitoba: J. R. Friesen and Sons / Fairway Ford (236 Main Street, Steinbach)

This building on Main Street in Steinbach, built in 1903, has hosted a dealership for Ford vehicles since 1914. One of the oldest Ford dealerships in western Canada, the building has been heavily remodeled. Known originally as J. R. Friesen and Sons, the business was owned by Jacob Reimer Friesen until his death in 1950 then by his son Edwin J. Friesen until 1972. It is now Fairway Ford Sales Limited.
