Historic Sites of Manitoba: Chown Building Plaque (753 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg)

H. H. Chown was one of the early professors as the newly formed Manitoba Medical College in 1885. He held the position of Dean of Clinical Surgery from 1900 to 1917 and was associated with the Winnipeg General Hospital for over 30 years. This building, located at 753 McDermot Avenue in the Health Sciences Centre, was named in his honour in 1964.
