Historic Sites of Manitoba: Chortitz Cemetery / Chortitz South Old Colony Mennonite Cemetery (RM of Stanley)

Also referred to as the Chortitz South Old Colony Mennonite Cemetery, the first burial in this cemetery in the Rural Municipality of Stanley was in 1929. Dedicated on 28 July 2002 is a boulder displaying many plaques commemorating the history of the village of Chortitz, including the 32 homesteaders who established it in 1875 and a list of those buried here.
