A 35,000-bushel wooden grain elevator at Bowsman, on the CNR Erwood Subdivision in what is now the Municipality of Minitonas-Bowsman, was built around 1920 by the Northern Elevator Company. Sold to the Canada West Grain Company in 1928, it was re-sold to Searle Grain in 1942, to Federal Grain in 1966, and to Manitoba Pool Elevators in 1972. It was closed and demolished in 1983.
