Historic Sites of Manitoba: No. 3 Bombing and Gunnery School Plaque (Farm Street, Macdonald, RM of Portage la Prairie)

A plaque in Macdonald, in the Rural Municipality of Portage la Prairie, was unveiled in 2025 by the Manitoba Historical Society to commemorate 15,673 bomb aimers and 14,996 air gunners who were trained by the British Commonwealth Air Training Plan during the Second World War. The No. 3 Bombing and Gunnery School operated at a site northeast of town between March 1941 and February 1945. Among the personnel who trained there was Andrew Charles Mynarski.
