Commissioned by the Baldur Consolidated School District No. 667, the Baldur Elementary School was a six-classroom facility built in 1960-1961. It replaced capacity previously had at the Baldur School and an open house held on 28 August 1961, with classes to begin two days later. In January 1971, the district became part of the Tiger Hills School Division. A nearby monument commemorates the Baldur District Schools.
