Born in Ontario in February 1878, he was working as a photographer at Crystal City when, in 1908, his studio was taken over by Albert E. Morrish. In 1909, he inspected a photographic gallery at Boissevain but it is unclear if he operated it. At the time of the 1911 census, he was working as a photographer at Vancouver, British Columbia. He later returned to Manitoba and, between 1917 and 1919, operated the Davidson’s Studio at Brandon.

He was listed in a Brandon city directory as President of the Brandon Fire Engine Company (1919) and an employee of the Currie Manufacturing Company (1921). He was not listed in a 1923 directory.
