Lily Stearns

Historian.

Lily Stearns served as President of the Manitoba Historical Society, 1995-1996; a member of its Governing Council 1984-1998; and on the following MHS committees: Field Trips (co-chair), Fundraising, Membership, Historic Preservation, as well as serving on the Manitoba History Day planning committee for several years under Dr. Richard Bennett's chairmanship. Served as Editor of MHS Keywords from 1993 to 1995.

Has served on the Board of the Shevchenko Museum, Toronto; presently (2003) President of the Canadian Society of Ukrainian Labour Research, Winnipeg; Vice-President, Women's Auxiliary, University of Winnipeg; board member, Joseph Zuken Foundation. Was an active member of the Save the Eaton's Building Coalition.
