Frits PannekoekHistorian. He was born at Edmonton and received both a BA and an MA from the University of Alberta before obtaining his doctoral degree at Queen's University. After a time as a Killam post-doctoral fellow at the University of Alberta, he lectured in history at the University of British Columbia and then became Chief of Historical Research with Parks Canada, Prairie Regional Office. In 1979, he was the director of historic sites with Alberta Culture at Edmonton. His articles for the Manitoba Historical Society:
