Richard J. HuydaArchivist. In 1974, Mr. Huyda was Head of Historical Photographs Section of the Public Archives of Canada in Ottawa and also Curator of the National Photography Collection. He was born in Winnipeg and graduated from the University of Manitoba with an MA degree in Canadian History in 1964, at which time he joined the Public Archives of Canada. The author of a number of articles, he has lectured extensively on the works and careers of Canadian photographers. His 1975 book Camera in the Interior: 1858, H. L. Hime, Photographer, The Assiniboine and Saskatchewan Exploring Expedition examined the life of H. L. Hime, the photographer with the Henry Youle Hind expedition to the Assiniboine and Saskatchewan country in 1848. His articles for the Manitoba Historical Society:
