Founded in 1892, the Assiniboine Curling Club became the third such club in the City of Winnipeg. It was primarily made up from ex-Granite members who lived south of the Assiniboine River. The club built a three-sheet building on Mayfair Avenue. In 1909, the club built a new four-sheet facility next door to their original building, located at 111 Mayfair Avenue. The club left their premises in 1917-1918 and rented ice at the Auditorium rink. The club held a meeting in 1921 with discussion of building a new rink; however, it ceased operations after the 1921-1922 season.
