Belgian immigrant Armand George Lemiez, created this collection of concrete sculptures between 1967 and 1976 at a farmstead near Grahamdale.

There once was a cinder-block building on the site known as the Pioneers Memorial Gallery featured a large collection of Lemiez’s oil paintings, now lost. The foundation and a few items remain untended, to the left in this photo, but the site of the statues was maintained as of 2025.

"Nixon and the Police"

His themes range from politics to religion and mythology. After unsuccessful eforts by Mr. Lemiez
to have the site bercome a Provincial Park it fell into disrepair. More recently, interpretive signage has been installed.

A  sign marks the access point just south of Grahamdale
on Highway 6. A trail that is rough but passable even in our small car takes you a short distance to the site.

Thanks to Gordon Goldsborough for alerting us to this unusual and interesting place.
