A Project of the Rivers Train Station Restoration Committee An Index to the Archive of Photos & Documents covering the history of  The Canadian Forces Base at Rivers, Manitoba. In 2024 the Rivers Train Station Restoration Committee commissioned CFB Rivers - A Virtual Tour Between 1940 and 1945 thousnads of pilots from across the Commonwealth were trained here in a vital part of the war effort. From 1945 until 1970 the "Base" played a diversified role as a key part of Canada's Milltary Establishment. After 1969 the infrastructure was put to a variety of uses. The  multimedia presentation (available on The Rivers Train Station Website) captures that story.
