This 2½-storey brick and Tyndall stone trimmed house on Burrows Avenue in Winnipeg, measuring 22 feet by 28 feet, and 12 feet by 26 feet, was designed by local architect Johann "John" Schwab and built between late 1908 and 1909 by contractor Antoni Micholski at a cost of about $5,000, for owner Frank S. Szeblowski. He sold it to physician Henry Lambert Yonker who lived here until his death in 1968. The Yonker family held ownership of the house until 1994.
Two sets of Tyndall stone pillars engraved with "Dr. Yonker" formerly marked each side of the driveway and sidewalk, but have since been removed. At the time of a 2025 site visit, the house was relatively unmodified from its original appearance, and appeared to be restored to near perfect condition.
