Born in the Rural Municipality of Odanah on 12 August 1897, daughter of Richard Parkinson Metcalfe (1851-?) and Isabella Scott (1873-?), she later lived at Bowsman. She taught at Pretty Valley School (?-?) and was Principal of Kenville School (1921-1924). On 23 June 1923, she married grain buyer William John Turner (?-?) at Kenville. She returned to Kenville School as a teacher (1926-1927). She died between 1968 and 1992.
