Community activist.
Born at Senkiw in 1926, daughter of Dokia and Stephan ?, she became a permit teacher at the age of 15 years, working for three years at a one-room school in the vicinity of Fisher Branch. She then moved to Winnipeg where she met and married Steve Sherman (1925-2003) in 1948. She worked at the Bank of Montreal for 32 years until early retirement in 1983. She was a member of Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church and the Ukrainian Catholic Women's League, serving as the National President (1989-1992) of the latter organization. She died at the St. Boniface Hospital on 9 December 2023 and was buried in the Holy Family Cemetery.
