On 24 June 1920, he married Lorna Dorothy Persse (1896-1974, daugher of John Thomas Blundell Persse) at Winnipeg and they subsequently had three sons: Hugh John Redmond (1921-1973), George Albert Peter Redmond (1925-?), and Louis J. Redmond (?-?). He was a member of the Gyro Club, St. Charles Country Club, Winnipeg Winter Club, and Roman Catholic Church.
