Businesswoman.
Born at Birmingham, England in 1858, daughter of Thomas Thurman, the family came to Canada and settled at Toronto in the early 1860s. She moved to Manitoba in 1879 and, on 1 May 1881, married Richard Willis Jameson at Emerson and moved to Winnipeg. They subsequently had two sons, George Willis Jameson (1881-1915) and Charles Inglis Jameson (1892-1916), both of whom were killed during the First World War.
Following her husband’s early death, she assumed the management of his business, serving as President of the Jameson Land and Investment Company, and was active in real estate and building. She constructed three apartment blocks and several houses around Winnipeg.
She died at the Winnipeg General Hospital on 19 May 1948 and was buried with her husband in the St. John's Cathedral Cemetery.
