Educator.
Born in 1931, daughter and eldest child of Aldea Beaudry (1908-1984, remarried to Henri St. Germain) and Henri Adelard J. Houde (1907-1950), she attended Benard School, Elie School, l’Academie, and College St. Joseph, and graduated from the University of Manitoba with BA (1952), BPed (1954), and BEd (1958) degrees and later, the University of Montreal and McGill University, the last at which she earned a MEd degree.
In 1958, she joined the Secular Institute “Groupe Monde et Esperance” and went on to work in Manitoba and Quebec as a teacher, administrator, and catechetical coordinator. She was Vice-Principal at Carman School (1960-1961) and Principal of Carman Collegiate (1961-1963). In 1997, she received the Caritas Award from the Catholic Foundation of Manitoba.
She died at Action Marguerite / Tache Centre in Winnipeg on 24 November 2021 and was buried in the Elie Blessed Sacrament Roman Catholic Cemetery.
